Parents burned out on the array of violent and destructive toys widely available to kids have been increasingly favourable to positive playthings that encourage helping rather than harming. This firefighting jet set from Tonka continues that trend. Use the included directions to assemble the 34 pieces into a plane with a grey body, yellow wings, and a white nose. It sports a spring-loaded grappling hook to fire off to action figures in desperate peril and a bucket for carrying water to the blaze. Perhaps most attractive, the set is and Mega-Blok sets, creating endless possibilities to accessorise the plane with other features or add the plane to existing play sets. --Charlie Williams
