This vehicle arrives as a building set in 38 Lego-like pieces and requires kids to rig it into an indispensable mountain search-and-rescue vehicle. An instruction book features detailed three-dimensional building diagrams that are easy for even younger builders to follow. The rugged ATV has two possible designs, depending on the type of rescue needed. One design equips the top of the ATV with a launching grappling hook to rescue stranded mountaineers from remote locations; the other positions a saw blade on the vehicle's front to cut through fallen trees and get to injured hikers. The set also includes a mountain ranger figure, who operates the ATV. There are eight Search and Rescue themed building sets in all and kids can collect them to create an entire rescue crew. Built to Rule was a building blocks toyline from Hasbro that is compatible with such leading brands as Lego. These sets were released from 2003 to 2005. Sets are usually based upon existing toys and characters from the Hasbro brand, such as Tonka, G.I. Joe and Transformers: Armada.
