Ribbon Knight

It is a work in which Princess Sapphire (prince), who has the heart of a man and the heart of a woman, is made into a heroine (hero) by the mischief of Angel Tink. It is believed that Tezuka himself was strongly influenced by the Takarazuka Revue, which he used to know when he was a child, and the model is said to be Chikage Awashima. It was said that Tezuka happened to see the stage where Awashima played the role of a man only once, and that he thought of Sapphire as a hint.
There are Shoujo Club editions (1953-1956) and Nakayoshi editions (1963-1966). Also, as a sequel, there is a work called Twin Knights.

The third one goes
At the beginning of the series, it was read once a month, but after that it was changed to weekly series. The first half of the story was completed, but the second half became a feature film. It has been animated twice in the past.
Osamu Tezuka, who has been disconnected from Weekly Shonen Magazine and Kodansha since the W3 incident in 1965, has appeared in Weekly Shonen Magazine for the first time in a long time. This work, which digested the occult boom including the supernatural powers of the 1970s and the super ancient civilization in the Tezuka style, became a popular work. At that time, Osamu Tezuka, whose popularity in the Shonen Manga magazine was sluggish, has been revived due to this work and the weekly Shonen Champion series "Black Jack". In 1977, Tezuka won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for "Black Jack" and this work. In the same year, Kodansha began publishing a total of 300 volumes of "Tezuka Osamu Manga Collection", and the relationship between Tezuka and Kodansha was restored.

black Jack

The protagonist is Black Jack, a genius-unlicensed doctor with a black cloak and a rugged face. It is a story in which he charges an exorbitant fee, confronts various injuries and intractable diseases, and treats them.
This work is a complete omnibus work of about 20 pages, not to mention the story about the main character Black Jack, the current state of the medical scene at the time, the client, the patient, the person who was involved in the main character It also deals with tragedy. Therefore, the protagonist does not necessarily play an active part in all the stories, and in some rare cases, the protagonist appears only somewhere in the story.

W3 (Wonder Three)

Three aliens have come to Earth. Their task was to decide, after a year of research, whether to leave the Earth as it is or to destroy it with antiproton bombs. Bocco, Bucco, and Nocco (captain, Garco, and Nonco in the magazine version) decided to borrow the appearance of the animals on the earth to investigate, and become rabbits, ducks, and horses, respectively. Shinichi Hoshi is accustomed to acquainting them and acting together. Meanwhile, Shinichi's older brother, Koichi, was engaged in sabotage as a member of Phoenix, a secret agency aiming for world peace. (From here to the magazine version) The three were ordered to be destroyed by the anti-proton bomb due to the fact that the earth is in constant conflict, but the three who fostered trust in the potential of the earthling through Shinichi gave orders. Refuse. All three, who were erased as punishments and left as island human beings as human beings somewhere, hope for the earth. They are sent to the earth and go back in time to become the three people who were close to Shinichi. The name of the main character, Shinichi Hoshi, is associated with science fiction writer "Shinichi Hoshi".

Jungle the Great

Osamu Tezuka, who came to Osaka during the medical university era as a medical school student, made a debut in the center in this work. It has been serialized 43 times in November 1950 to April 1954 in the monthly comic magazine "Manga Shonen" by Gakudosha. Originally, it was planned to be drawn down as a book as "Densei Daidai", but it has a history that it was serialized at the recommendation of Kenichi Kato, the editor-in-chief at a school children's company that came to Tokyo by chance. At the beginning of the series, it expanded to 4 pages, and from the 2nd time to 10 pages with a door page, and up to 16 pages during the series, it reigns as a signboard work of "manga boy". After that, Tezuka drew up a book and switched to a monthly manga magazine. After graduating from university, he focused on becoming a manga artist. Tezuka's representative work in Shonen Magazine was this work until he started serializing "Astro Boy" in 1952 as "Shonen".
